Anybody know much about the new Cyclone type clubs that have opened outside Damascus?

I hear they just get started at 3am! u throw money when they dance,
but then u can take them home....some poor girls get gang raped

Mostly Iraqi refugees some not even 10yrs old, and the men are mostly Saudi and Kuwaiti

Apparently now its big business there...for Syrian businessman making the money anyway

Sex tourism in Syria thriving on the back of Iraqi refugees forced to support their families

Inexpensive Iraqi prostitutes have helped to make Syria a popular destination for sex tourists from wealthier countries in the Middle East. In the club's parking lot, nearly half of the cars had Saudi license plates.

From Damascus it is only about six hours by car, passing through Jordan, to the Saudi border. Syria, where it is relatively easy to buy alcohol and dance with women, is popular as a low-cost weekend destination for groups of Saudi men.

this region never ceases to amaze me!

its not much different to where ur going in vegas my friend, just different. weed is illegal there. watch what they look like when they show up in amsterdam.... thai virgin child prostitution is practically funded by westerners (americans in particular) because it's a safer bet not to get HIV.

morale of the story is that anything that's forbidden in one part of the world can be horribly abused in an other.

Have you been to Vegas?

Its a lot different in Vegas purely bc it isnt covered up and denied to exist! Whereas that is the problem in this region.
Walk down the Vegas strip and the floor is littered with flyers and stickers of strip joints, phone sex and hookers...
and the government in Vegas wont deny that prostitution or drugs are prevalent, bc they are!

Quite unlike his region where the authorities deny that there are Sex parties in Iran,
but where the biggest selling DVD in history is an illegal sex dvd........in the USA, its Titanic! lol

Syria looks on a similar crooked path, the only nightclubs in Damascus are in hotels....BUT
seems you can freely set up a Hooker club outside Damascus and make business for the Saudi's and Kuwaiti's on the plight of Iraqi refugees!

I read an article here about a Dubai Gov official denying there were any hookers hanging out in any Dubai hotels! Yeah Right! It's also the law here that a couple must be married to take out a room together, but deny something silly like that, which is allowed in 90% of the rest of the world...and you only look like a fool & get egg on your own face when it makes the situation worse than it is!

For example,
You can see more hookers in any one 2/3 star hotel bar in Bur Dubai
than in ANY hotel in Vegas or Amsterdam!

than in ANY hotel in Vegas or Amsterdam!

and those cities promote their sex tourism!!

maybe not sex tourism, youre right it is out in the open there. but illegal mexican workers who arent supposed to be in the country working, but are holding up the fabric of society through illegal and cheap labor, not so visible a problem. poor bastards loose an arm in the garbage truck are sent packing home to mexico immediatley. choose the double standard. second thing, maybe there are flyers all over vegas for sex, but its still illegal and the favorite method is still sending the dear john letter which IMO is petty and vindicitive.

no hookers in hotels in a'dam because its a legal trade which requires it to be done in windows.

i'm told its khaleeji season in places like thailand where they go for 12-14 year girls because its a safe bet they dont have HIV. sex tourism is a devolution of mankind all over the world

so do you actually KNOW anyone who got fired or you just HEARD

off topic but watch the dvd fast food nation (not michael moore one) its greg kinnear is a burger exec and goes to the processing plant, then u see what its really like for the mexicans, one gets squashed in a machine so they say he is on drugs and not eligible for compensation

take a lot of what you hear in dubai with a big pinch of salt, maybe the biggest pinch in the world etc

You make it sound like Dubai has the worst things, Dubai is heaven and once you move to your Las Vegas after a few months you will regret leaving here, count on that!!!

Ohh dear Steve, I'm a little more prudent than to relay an Urban legend my friend ;)

I actually HEARD it from some Reuters co-workers who worked with the person, as they used to visit me when I played at Radisson in Media City last year. So I'm sure they'd know working for the same company.

I ALSO READ a Newspaper article here a couple months back on DUBAI CENSORSHIP, that only just a couple years back they COULD and DID shut magazines up practically overnight for so-called obscene photos. My friend Adam Daff is the Editor of Men's Style here, which he told me has to remain VERY TAME or BIG Trouble! The article also said there were 100+ workers that work for Jashanmal every morning going through 1000's of pages every day from 2am-7am with the average FHM gettting BLACKED OUT ON 70 PAGES! OH DEAR!

Heavens knows what the censors would think of my portfolio!! hahahaha!
Wont be long b4 FACEBOOK is KAPUT, just like MYSPACE!

Sooo Bazz, of course I like Dubai..it has its good points! In many ways the most happening city in the world!

BUT for me I need to be in a city where I am allowed to shoot Glamour photos & PARTY PAST 3AM, like Vegas, I will be in Heaven! It's something I havent done in sooooo long! Shooting Glamour photos & partying hard!!! You cant do it when your 50!

Shoot a hot girl in a bikini here in a hotel or on the beach, and BAM! POW! WATCH OUT!
Trust me I know!

I guess that's something I like taking for granted...just like not being censored!

and yes, Vegas has a HELLUVA LOT more HOT MODELS than Dubai too..
so im sure ill have my hands full

It would have made sense your disgust with the hypocrisy in the middle east and the stuff going on in Dubai if you where moving to switzerland or something .. but your going to vegas .. its basically dubai on steroids ! And the human rights violations and hypocrisy of the US government tops the charts! so i would stop trying to link your move out of here with human rights, or censorship .. bigger tits, access to drugs, etc .. those are reasons i would accept :)

and trust me last time i was in vegas i was gonna crazy after 10 days if i heard the sound of one more slot machine ...

anyhow i wish you best of luck with your move
Those who hear not the music think the dancers mad

ur right!
yes i was being kind, hard partying will entail playboy bunnies and drugs for sure!! bring it on!

oh u know u dont hear the slot machines anymore, bc no more coins...except for the old carpet casinos downtown

haha!

steve, ive tried doing shoots here...
the only way the Uk mags would do it, is if they pay to close off a whole area in a hotel, get permisson..yada yada
ive never had to do that in Vegas, Miami, Melbourne or europe. Coz they are down with it :)

and i prefer Vanity Fair myself, but even that gets ripped apart by the marker pens!!!

been ripping through job ads in craigslist, las vegas...even emailing ads for bartenders my dj profile etc

just got a reply from http://www.almazalounge.com
the first Middle Eastern club and shisha lounge in Vegas...how cool!

Why try and make Dubai sound so horrible.Try living in South Africa if you wanna moan and groan.I'm from South Africa and things are hectic there.Dubai sounds like a paradise in comparison with SA namely, prostitution, rape, hijakings, drugs, corruptions, murder, childlabouring etc. I am so glad to leave SA, even if it is to a place where they are strict and inforce the laws
